Korean Drama "My Unfamiliar Family" Review
Hai!!!
I’m back guys, with another
Korean drama review hehehe
I just finished watching “My Unfamiliar Family”
SYNOPSIS
Just like what’s written in the
title, this drama is all about family. The main character is a family consist
of Dad, Mom, and 3 children. And just like the title also, this family is all
unfamiliar with each other. As they grew older, they start to living their own
live, and they realize that they actually know nothing about they own “so
called” family.
REVIEW
Honestly, I had a pretty high
expectation before I watched this drama. Firstly, this is my favorite genre,
and the title is also interesting
And…
This drama got me hooked from the
first episode wkwk
The plot and storyline in this
drama is super solid, and all of the actors are excellent. They look so
comfortable with each other they look like a real family :)
This drama kind of make it look
like you know all of the characters personally. To the point that you can
understand all of their actions and response toward problem, or even you can figure
out what they think just by looking at their eyes
Every single character here has
their own stories, and the portion for that is actually pretty fair for me.
The story is also flowing
naturally every episode, it’s like we’ve been following this characters for
years (though actually this drama is just takes our two months wkwk)
This drama has five main
characters
Dad, who’s stubborn as a rock but
willing to do and sacrifice anything for his family
Mom, who’s awkward and timid but
always wants the best for her family
Eun Joo, the first born daughter
who’s straightforward and loves to lecture her little brother and sister but
actually a whole softie inside whose care the most about her family
Eun Hee, the middle child, a
literal sunshine whose always full of smile and has a big dream
Ji Woo, the innocent youngest who
loves his family more than anything
I really love how this drama
always gives us perspective from the five characters above whenever there is a
problem in the family, so we can understand how’s everyone feeling
And I also love that there are
three children, so we have perspective from the oldest, the youngest and the
middle child
All of the character’s response is also relatable, and that makes this drama more humane
One little thing that caused all
of the problem in this family is communication
This family is just lack
communication with each other even though they live in the same house, and that
sparks a lot of misunderstanding
And after the misunderstanding
happen, it still didn’t make them talk it out. Instead they just let it buried
deep inside their own heart and created scars
For example, the problem between
Mom and Dad
They have a lot of
misunderstanding with each other. And even though it’s all seems petty, it can
happen
Both of them has a big ego and
difficulty to express themselves
So, whenever they have a small
problem they just let it be and not resolving it. So in the end it only torture
them both
Even though it’s a family themed
drama, it’s not a Korean drama without a little bit romance here and there,
right?
This drama also has some cute
couple
My favorites are Eun Hee + Chan
Hyuk and Eun Joo + Tae Hyung
Eun Hee + Chan Hyuk is already so
comfortable and sweet with each other even before they’re officially a couple
But who doesn’t love Eun Hee?
She’s the sweetest
She’s really full of smile and a
mood maker for everyone around her, she’s even not affected by harsh words
thrown by her sister hihihi
I love her ^ ^
I really like the scene where she
got called as someone who’s don’t have a certain character by her coworkers.
It’s because she seems to always adapt her character based on who she interacts
with, and she’s also look like she doesn’t have any ambition or real passion in
anything
And then Eun Hee answers with,
“My goal is to have a life without a goal”
It’s just so funny and remarkable
(Wait, why did I end up talking
about Eun Hee’s character? Hehe)
The second couple is Eun Joo +
Tae Hyung
Ok, I understand, gay can be one reason
for divorce
But but… they suit each other
Especially when they’re just
talking with each other
Tae Hyung who’s usually so stiff
and fierce, suddenly smiles a lot and talks with the softest voice when he’s
with Eun Joo. And I really can’t stand how he looks at her (Are you sure you’re
gay dude? Hehe)
And there’s also Eun Joo who
doesn’t usually talk a lot with people, but she suddenly talks and laugh a lot
with Tae Hyung. It’s actually so cute ^ ^
Haaaah… it’s a shame about this
two
Overall, I’m so super satisfied
This drama has nothing to be
criticized over
I recommended this drama for
anyone who’s in need of a family drama that can make you laugh, angry, and cry
And also for anyone who’s need
another perspective for your own family problem? Maybe this drama can give you
some inspiration :)
